The most significant impact of Clary’s employment at Alta Gracia has been the realization of her childhood dream. Together with her husband, she got the chance to launch her own business three years ago. Initially, she and her husband thought about fixing up their house, but two months after she started working, they decided to start a laundry instead. They organized a small laundry operation in a cluster of little shops located along the town’s main street. Her husband’s salary was not enough to get the new venture going, so he manages the laundry. His experience as a mechanic helps him take care of most repairs needed in the operation.
